Do you get outside and exercise? What do you do to manage any stress and anxiety in your life?

Hopefully your answer isn't coming to this forum and arguing with anonymous strangers.

Gardening more, in my pool more, still working really so that helps

Having newborn twins, 1 month old today, eats up a little time too

Still going out to dinner at least two times per week

But I miss pool parties, road trips to wineries and breweries and distilleries, weekends at the shore or in the city and going to the casino (have been avoiding casinos because of the newborns, but that will change soon)

Obviously miss sports and fantasy games

And I hate watching the democrats create crisis after crisis in an election year, that too is a tradition

A very good question. One that no one asks and that should be. The reality of COVID is that if you have physical issues, it has a much better chance of taking you out if you get it.

I have always had a vitamin regimen - Vitamin C, D, Zinc. Boosting your immune system helps in all times, COVID and non COVID. Good time to start eating better too, if you aren't there already. I could use some help in that department for sure.

Since indoor basketball is shut down, have been walking more, and playing a lot more golf.

Turning off the TV - the news especially, is really good for stress and anxiety.

Have spent more time and effort improving my fruit and veggie growing skills.

I do it for me and family and friends but mostly for a friend who is a fitness, health nut. She's a bariatrician by trade.

She is overjoyed when she gets the fresh fruits and veggies. Love that.

Other than that, I've worked right through corona, out and about every day. And I'm back to betting horses through simulcasting as they opened a nearby New Hampshire casino about a month ago. Masks are required when walking around but not in your "space" as in table.

I have no fear of dying from corona. I have seen the same people every day right through this who feel likewise even though many are compromised. Irrational fears are one of the unhealthiest things that you can let into your being.

Taking 10 different vitamins per day
Working 5-6 days a week to take my mind off of stuff
Weekends in the pool
Going fishing in my backyard
Playing hoops/baseball with the kids
Doing a nice 3 mile walk around my development.
Weekend projects around the house.

I havent gone out to dinner in 4 months and really dont miss it much.
I miss hanging with friends and going out of town the most
Some days its been crappy on the kids as they miss their "normal routine". Some days have been 100% awesome for the kids as they are doing new things

Nice to hear on all accounts. I used to read so many comments of people complaining that they were in the compromised group. When you suggest to the people complaining that they make the effort to make themselves stronger through nutrition or exercise, they would just get mad and keep ranting about people needing to stay at home for their protection. I've always thought a proactive approach is best.

While we were in a shelter-in-place mode, many of my clients reached out to me (I solicited no one) and wanted me to come by and train them in their driveways, nearby parks, and schools. They joked that they had put on the covid-19 (in regards to lbs) and needed to get active again. It's been great seeing them. My days start as early as 6am and are done by 10am because of the heat. I really haven't missed a beat financially as they pay me twice my session rate for taking the show on the road.

I was frustrated early on as our apartment manager was in full blown nanny state mentality. She pulled all the amenities from the residents and shut down the pool and the fitness center. Hell, she even closed down the Cornhole area, which no one ever used. I got into it with her and told her I already had a mother, and many other residents let her have it also. Fortunately for all of us, the complex was bought out by a more reasonable company that got rid of her, and immediately opened up all the amenities with the appropriate restrictions (a very adult thing to do).

I got a certification on mobility during this down time (something that is near and dear to me and most of my clients as we all get older). Just finished up with 2 hours in our fitness center (the first hour doing foam rolling, mobility drills, and loaded movement training and the second hour with resistance training). Fitness has always been my best vehicle to deal with stress and depression. And I definitely felt I experienced the latter, early on in this process when it looked like a zombie apocalypse as I would drive around in our area.

BFL, I'm sure you noticed I didn't mention workouts :)

I was a gym rat as a kid, 7 days a week playing sports

Played basketball three times a week until my son was ten, making me 39, and then running youth sports took over my life and I started putting on 5 lbs a year. I gain 10 between the holidays and April 15th, then lose 5.

I purchased a $ 3,000 elliptical 5 years ago, don't think I've registered more than 5 miles on it

I know when I move I lose weight still, but it's much easier to sit in my zero gravity recliner and watch TV

One of these days I'm going to work out, that's what I keep telling myself :)

Awake by 5am thanks to one of many dogs

Start out day with this prayer:

Dear God, help me to know what you want me to do.

Out by daylight watering plants, yard and a couple plants in garden.

Push mow at least 1 hour.

If no mowing necessary walk down to the lake and back for about 20 minutes.

After cleaning up watch Daily Mass and a couple other preachers.

Listen to Christian Pop.

No news, no negativity, no clue about all the BS going on in various cities.

Play with dogs.

Take a nap.

Guess that’s enough of my exciting but extremely PEACEFUL day!
